Front load washers-
Many customers mention their front load washer has an odor. This can be caused by mildew forming inside due to a lack of airflow.
Try this: always leave the door cracked or open when not being used. Also, you can run a cycle empty with hot water and add a 1/2 cup of rubbing alcohol to the detergent dispenser that will kill the bacteria. This may need done more then once.
If you washer doesn't seem to drain, the drain filter may need cleaned. Look for a small door in the bottom front.
Note: be prepared for some water to run out. Even when the basket is empty that can be a few cups of water inside the tub.
Some drain filters are inside the cabinet and can be difficult to access. Try looking your model up on Youtube to see how to access it.
Refrigerators-
Your condenser coils need periodic cleaning. Most can be accessed by removing the cover on the lower backside of the refrigerator.
This should be done every 1-2 years.
Dryers-
Airflow is just as critical as heat to dry properly. From time to time, turn the dryer on when empty and go outside where the dryer vents to check for airflow. If you feel little or not airflow, that could be a blockage that needs addressed. Also, check your lint screen for residue buildup that can block airflow.
